Meet Maree, your expert tutor

I am the heart of Elevate Tutoring Christchurch. With 23 years of experience as a dedicated teacher and three years as a Specific Learning Difficulties tutor, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a nurturing approach to every student I encounter. I am open to working with any learner, no matter what their age  in order to help them unlock their full potential.

This ensures I am not only aware of the latest resources available but I am also familiar with the many ongoing changes to the curriculum, allowing me to provide students with the most relevant and effective support.

My approach is rooted in careful listening and observation. My years of teaching experience in a range of settings means I can analyse a learner and know where to head next. I place the learner at the centre, ensuring that all teaching is perfectly suited to their current needs. Flexible and responsive, I adapt to what each student requires, delivering sessions in a relaxed and accepting environment using a diverse range of resources to make learning engaging and effective. We have our loveable and cuddly border collie cross, Astro, on call to help settle students if they need it.
